CCC Hub Authoring & Engagement Training - Shared screen with speaker view
Welcome everyone! If you have not done so today, please take a minute to fill out this form before we begin https://forms.gle/ztnJRi6LswyxnDBd7 Thank you!
I think if you’re doing project with the OERI’s funding this summer or fall you need to use the CC-BY (least restrictive) license.
Can I ask how we give attribution if something is remixed, maybe multiple times?
@Megan - thx for sharing that “how to”
If we want to have a print version available, what are the best ways to approach that?
If faculty get approved for the grant funding this summer/fall, would they be able to use these tools to develop those?
Personally: working with a colleague in my district to look at OER options for foreign language (esp Spanish). At my college: we have a few faculty who are interested in authoring/remixing in many disciplines. But Cañada is just getting started in this!
If you have questions on OER & authoring: firstname.lastname@example.org
I have several faculty who are interested in creating new material; most are from ESL and ASL community.
I had a question if we publish a book or artcle can you tage different people so they can view it?-Carlos Espinoza
Pam Rivers- Bakersfield College
If we ae creating entire canvas courses with OER do we upload those here?
I have remixed some OER content (in international relations) from HTML sources into Word docs. I did this to make it easier for others to remix. Would I upload these docs to my college’s hub on OER Commons? And would that be easily searchable and downloadable on OER Commons?
If I wanted to collect all the OER link sto what our faculty have adopted can I do that here even though they are hosted elsewhere, just as what we are using? So others on campus can see?
In Canvas Commons - search “CCC OER OEI”
Thanks Barbara. Great stuff and I'm hoping our group will add to it
Thanks! I know of COERLL at Univ.Tx.
re: Foreign Langu
If you don’t find content you need in OERCommons, you might check: http://www.ltcconline.net/greenl/oer/oerlistfromlistserve.htm
ASL is under “Sign Language"
@ahmed - to add as “co-author” - does the co-author need to have an OERCommons act?
@ahmed - thx for info!
Otherwise - put co-authors in text in content.
ok, that makes sense. That's what I'm thinking
Thanks, all! More questions here once we get the ball rolling a bit more.
